In 2007, Tropical Smoothie Cafe created National Flip Flop Day to celebrate its 10th anniversary. As a way to show their appreciation for guests to their cafe, donations were made to Camp Sunshine, a retreat in Maine that combines respite, recreation and support for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.
