Picture Frame Decorating
You will need:
-
Wooden frames
-
Hot glue gun or strong wood adhesive, or craft glue
-
Paints and brushes
-
Coloured Paper
-
Objects for the decorating – shells, leaves, acorns, buttons, glass beads etc.
We suggest using wide wooden frames with a flat surface, this makes it easier to stick the objects to the frames. Oftentimes, you can find these frames at any local craft or dollar store.
Directions
-
Remove the glass from the frames before you begin.
-
Place newspaper on your table to protect it before you start and have paper towels available to wipe any excess glue or paint off hands.
-
If you decide to paint your frame, we suggest doing that first and allowing it to dry overnight or for at least a couple of hours before glueing any decorative objects on the frame.
-
Place the objects in random order or in a pattern of their choice, using the glue. If using a hot glue gun be sure to supervise carefully
-
After decorating put frames aside and let them dry overnight before putting the glass back in them and the back of the frames on.
